Yogalates
What is Yogalates?
Yogalates is a combined approach – using principles of Pilates with the flowing sequence of vinyasa flow. The combination of core and stability work with longer held stretches and alignment work. The class also includes pranayama, meditation and is a great introduction to yoga in a gentle and controlled way. Suitable for all levels and for the more advanced practitioners.

Getting started
How to begin your yoga journey
Starting pilates is straightforward. We’ll walk you through each step so you know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
Book your class
Head to the Book Now page and select the class that fits your schedule and level.
Arrive early
Come ten minutes before your class starts. Wear comfortable clothes you can move in freely.
Move with intention
Tess will show you proper form and modifications. Listen to your body and work at your own pace.

Questions about my Yoga classes?
The class will then start with breath awareness and Pranayama (breathing exercises), followed by Asanas (both standing and seated poses) and we will finish with a well deserved relaxation that can hopefully leave you feeling relaxed and replenished. A basic level of fitness is helpful but not essential.
Please provide your own mat and dress as you would for a fitness class. Bring yoga blocks and straps if you have them. We do the class in bare feet or socks. Bring a bottle of water to keep hydrated! Prior to starting the class you will be asked to fill in a medical screening form (this is standard procedure for all participants).
